I absolutely love painting pets. My heart truly lies within painting loved and lost pets, getting to know their owners, and hearing the loving memories.
I attended college for three years for a college degree in High School Art Education with a minor in Art History. While in elementary school, I started painting and drawing, meanwhile learning to play the viola. Developing the use of my hands with a stringed instrument aided in my drawing/painting development.
In high school, I began to pursue my passion for art more avidly, and was voted "most likely to become a famous artist." After high school, I had my 2 wonderful children and didn’t create much art for a few years.
In the fall of 2011, I began to paint commissions for a retirement center in my city. The art commission ball truly began rolling after I created my Facebook fan page. Working a full-time job during the day, for 2 years I painted at night after my children went to bed. Some nights I would be up until 1 am, and I loved every minute of it.
In April of 2013, I entered an owl painting in the Art and Soul of the Magic Valley competition. Out of 148 artists, I took 6th place, winning $1,000. From that moment I pursued my art passion with a vision. I started painting more pet commissions. Over the following 8 months, pet commissions took hold and I knew it was a blessing from God. I had found my calling. I realized I could do this full time! How exciting!
On December 23, 2013, I became a full-time artist. If ever you want a painting done, do not hesitate to contact me.
